I'm trying to install NT 4.0 on my new system and NT won't recognize my hard drive. I'm running on AMD's 800mhz CPU and the Asus K7V motherboard. My Seagate hard drive is a 9 gig U2W SCSI. Bios is set to boot SCSI. Win 98 recognizes it and this makes this problem a real mystery. I don't know if this is a NT querk or a system bios setting I'm missing. Any help would be appreciated!

when installing nt, did you tell it to search for aditional scsi device? Also, if you have an ide drive that nt does recognize, can you install scsi after install from control panel. Do you have any other scsi devices working off thea scsi card that nt recognizes? Maybe it is something with taht particular scsi adapter.

The main problem seems that for some reason or another, I can't get into MS DOS portion of setup to partion and format drive. I might be having software problems rather than hardware. Thanks anyway.
