My old hand down 386 (BIOS date: 7-7-91) had a start up message "KB interface error". I found a switch under the keyboard and switched it. Now the start up message is "HDD connection failure". When I push F1 it then prompts me to inset boot up diskette. Since it is a hand-me-down, I don't have a boot up disk (and I negligently din't make one). This old PC always worked fine until I turned it on one day. I reset all BIOS settings to default to make sure that wasn't it. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Pete.
