I have an AMD-500mhz with a new harddrive seagate 8gig which I formated with seagate utilites on their CDROM. When I tried to install win98 I get this Application Error; SUWIN caused a General Protection Fault in module user.exe at 000d:OFE5
I have also had other errors, similar to this all general protection errors. Yet my machine boots up to dos no problem. I did have an error once that said it had trouble reading my cdrom with win 98 on it. But that was not a consisent error. I subsequently cleaned the cdrom. The motherboard is one of those that has everthing installed on it. Video, sound and ethernet. Kinda of cheap I guess!
Any ideas on how to trouble shoot this.
Thanks
