hi
recently i have been having a problem with my computer. when i'm running a program(specifically a game} i'm getting a blue screen with this message:

exception 00 at 0028:C91fB587 in VxD DiskTSD(03) + 00001Dff.called from 0028:C91fBA84 in VxD voltrack(04 + 00000000. it may be possible to continue normally. press any key to continue.

i can't continue, can't alt+ctrl+del. i have to reset. from this message can you tell if this is a problem with my windows 95 program or is it coming from the game. i've been following game tech support instructions but it's still happening. this game (traitors gate) is newly installed and did this from the start.it also uses quicktime

my system:

clone
win 95b
amdk6-2 400 cpu
128 meg ram
50x cd rom drive
3dfx voodoo3 2000 video card w/ 16 meg ram agp
sound blaster 16 pci audio
us robotics 56k modem isa

i just installed a new sound card because the drivers for my aztech waverider32 pro 3d were not certified . i installed the latest drivers they have . same problem. so i tried the sound blaster card. same problem. if you can tell me what is going on i'll know which direction to take thanks for any help.

I'd say it's most likely the game, since from what you posted it seems to have started after installing it. Maybe you can uninstall and reinstall the game and see if it makes a difference.

Also, the AMD K6-2 CPU above 350MHz had a compatibility issue with Win95, something to do with timing cycles. AMD issued a patch Here (http://www.amd.com/products/cpg/k623d/win95_update_k6.html) to fix the problem.

Info from Micro$oft Here (http://www.microsoft.com/windows95/downloads/contents/WURecommended/S_WUServicePacks/AMDPatch/Default.asp)

This might not be the cause of your problem, research it thoroughly before you decide to try it. it usually involves a different error message, and is not related to one particular program. I can't find any reference to a problem with the game concerning the AMD K6-2 or any of the hardware you listed, or any kind of patches posted.

Most people find that the patch works best if you slow the CPU down below 350MHz, (by jumpering the motherboard) then apply the patch, then speed it back up to normal speed. A search for AMD patch on yahoo, infoseek, dogpile etc will bring up more info so you can check into it further.
