I have 166mhz sys.3.2Gb harddrive with 32 mb of edo ram. Under MSDOS 7. The whole sys. is crashing with error codes running rampant.I am trying to reformat my hardrive and reinstall win95. When I try running the pcdr as per the instructions, I get a blank screen with a brief message ERROR.LOG not enough memory. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif

We need a little more info. Does the system boot to the command prompt OK? Exactly where in the sequence of things do you get the first error msg, and exactly what is it?

The system boots up OK. If I run a cd, I immediately get an error an illegal procdure error in a GPF, after that no matter what program I go into I get an error code. But what I'm concerned with is when I reboot the computer, with my pcdr cd inserted and the floppy in place. what I get is not enough memory. The system is 86% free.

That's probably conventional memory, not RAM. conventional memory is the first 640KB. How to Increase Conventional Memory (http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q134/3/99.asp) might help.
