tooo long to access program

when I click to open norton system works,it takes a really long time to open the program, I am talking 20-30 secs.it never used to be like this before,but I dont know what was changed,any advice??thanks.

When this happens, hit ctrl+alt+del and see if it says the program is "not reponding"

I've seen this behavior with windows 98 before...and the only way I could fix it was a fresh install of 98...

Of course you can try the usual stuff, uninstall norton, restart the computer (always restart after uninstalling a program if you're going to reinstall it), then reinstall norton and see if that fixes it...or check out their web site for faqs...

Also, the Microsoft Knowledge base can actually be pretty useful...just fill in the blanks and do a search...alot of problems are documented...
