When WIN95 loads it searches for NewsFlsh.exe.
I uninstalled a few programs and this file must have bee a shared file that was removed. I do not know which application removed it. I have searched my HD, Win95 CD etc. and cannot find. Looked for file using google and no luck. I notice no differences by not having this file. Does anyone know where I might have obtained this file? Otherwise how do I prevent windows from bringing up the window that searches?

Open autoexec.bat in Notepad (or some other text editor) and search for the file name in it. If you find it ther you can either delete it or type REM followed by a space in front of it. When done save and reboot.

If you don't find it in autoexec you can try looking for it in config.sys. Follow the same procedure for getting rid of it.
