My linksys card worked fine two days ago...and now I can't get it to start. I've installed a fresh install of Windows2000 and WIndows98. It works marvelously in Windows98, but in Windows2000 it won't start, despite the proper and updated drivers being installed.

Is it a pcmcia or a pci? I had the same problem with a notebook nic from linksys, despite their assurance that the card's drivers were on the 2000 install cd...
As luck would have it, I fried the card and bought a new one which worked...and I now know that there are two different versions with different chipsets...one works in 2000, the other doesn't...
I would bug their tech support...if they say it works in 2000, then they should provide that capability...
