Email is not working?

Yeah just hook up my direcpc(satellite) and it is smokin'. My email is not working so I put in all the info like SMTP POP3 and when I check the mail it just disconnects. I am running Windows 2000 and I using Outlook Express. Does anyone know what it could be? Also sometimes when I m surfing the web the pictures will not load up? Is this just one of the downsides of having a satellite or could there be something not configure right??Thanks

mailservers are tricky items... dependant on your satelite ISP (thats who you need to ask on this)

sometimes depending on many variables (especially with satelite) many more variables than other connections, sometimes mailservers are just not what we would like them to be.

In Outlook Ex go to Tools - Options - Connection and see if "disconnect after checking e-mail" is checked.
In IE make sure "Toggle Graphics" is not checked

Thanks. I emailed the direcpc company and they sorted me through the process. It can get very complicated........as most things.
