My monitor under Win2k is being displayed as Default Monitor.

My monitor seems to have disappeared, meaning I can't change any of its properties except refresh rate, and resolution. How do I change my current monitor, if I can't get to the present monitor properties? I have a Daytek 1731-D 17 incher.

Under display/setting/advanced I can't get into Monitor properties, its ghosted out...as is the box that says "hide the modes this monitor can not display".

Also in Device Manager there is no monitor listed...I have all the INF's I need, I just can't get to the point where I can install them.

hmm, that's weird, haven't seen that before. There are two routes you could go:

1. Delete the registry entries for the monitor. Unfortunately I don't know where they are. You'd have to figure that out yourself.

2. Uninstall your video driver, and re-install them. Maybe the monitor problem will work itself out in that process.

Good luck!
