First Time poster-long time lurker

I've read many of the posts here on Dual Booting with 98 & 2k,but I atill have a few Q's :

1-so lets say that I use PM to make a second or third Part on my hard drive
(currently I have only C: with 5 of 20 gigs used,so I have plenty of room)

2-I Do a complete install of Win2k in one of my new parttitions

3-How do I set it up to have access to all my files, folders, programs
Internet settings,favorites,and Outlook Express.
Do I have to re-install all the programs that I want to use in Win2k that I have in 98 ?

4-I use a cable modem,do I have to re-configure the set-up in the Win2k Outlook express, and export the addy book/and or mail messages if I want to use them, and also re-set up my pop and usenet settings ?

Any suggestions, help or ideas would be welcome.

Deli-email accepted too!!!

In most all cases you would need to reinstall the programs again in order to use them in a clean install of Win2k.

If you use fat32 you can drag and drop to transfer your data (not the programs). The best way to dual boot is to make three partitions. Put 98 on C (first) then NT on D and the programs on E. When you install the programs tell the intstaller to put them on E. Then you will have your data all in one place.
