I've just built my system, ABIT KT7A 1G @ 200mhz, 256mb 133, 20gig seagate hard, geforce2mx, using windows ME im using bios YH. My problem is that on most start ups i get the message Pchschd (or similer) has caused a fault in MStask.dll ( or Kernel32.dll or webcheck.dll) i've lowered the I/O voltage (yes lowered as it was 3.4v) and now i only get the problems 1 in 3 or 4 start ups ive tried everthing i can think of. Yes i've installend all latest drivers.
so if u want to b god yes ill bow down befor anyone who solves this problem well for a few days anyway.

Found that it is the PC Health Scheduler. Not sure of the benefits of running it or shutting it down. Personally, I would kill the system restore on ME...I don't have any experience with ME, but my peers have all chosen to disable some of that gobbeldy-gook.
So it sounds to me as this file my be corrupt or conflicting with the task scheduler.
Sorry this t'ain't much help...
Here is an excerpt referencing PC Health-from http://www.users.qwest.net/~careyh/fixes.htm
Problem: Why is my hard drive constantly active?
Possible Solution: When you are not using Windows, the operating system will reduce the swap file size (since it is not being used) and the ‘System Restore’ software is making back-ups of critical files. Also, if you have a Sound Blaster card, a piece of software called Disc Detector constantly polls the drives for new media. To disable this, you will find an icon in the Control Panel labeled Disc Detector. Also, you can disable PCHEALTH from MSCONFIG and see if that helps as well. This does not seem to affect Windows. This is a "scheduler" and does *not* turn off PC Health. The PCHealth entry in MSConfig & the Task Scheduler is *only* for data collection. "pchschd.exe" launches winmgmt.exe to collect this data if the system is idle. Quite unnecessary for the vast majority of users of Me.
