okay, i Upgraded from WIN ME to WIN2000 pro. I have a local network with a 5 port LINKSYS HUB. I am running SYGATE AS my INternet sharing program. The problem I have is that when i am on a Client compueter, when i try to connect to the server computer it asks for a network password. IT says resource: \\KYLE\IP&. I do not knwo what the password is, ive tried all the ones i know. Where can i go to modify this thing or find out what my password is. Thanks. Oh, when im on my server computer it lets me connect to the clients. It just doesnt let me connect to The server.

Are you using the same user name and password to log onto the server as you are from a client? You should log onto the server with your Administrator account info and check permissions on the clients that you are having trouble with.
Has this system ever worked in this configuration? If not, you need to go over your configurations again and make sure every hair is in place.
If you are not familiar with 2000, It has an unbelievable array of security features and if something is wrong, you forgotten, your not going to like the final resolution.
I recommend a good night of reading about it's security setup proceedurs and maybe a visit to MS knowledge base.(sorry, don't have the link handy)
good luck

Sounds like you don't have any user accounts other than the admin one. I would logon to the "server" as the administrator. Right click the "my computer" icon and choose "manage". On the new window click "local users..." and then click "users". Add your "client" user ids here by right clicking "users" and choose "new user". Then ,like Bassman says, check your permissions for your network shares.
Hope this helps http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
