Monitor - Small letters unreadable

All of a sudden the smallest of my letters such as the ones under your:-The Pc World or How do i Headlines are distorted, blurred and broken up it looks like a SeX pIstOlS Album cover, All other text appears fine if slightly blurred.I have a Time 1000 7 QX pc With Asus V7700 GEFORCE2

How old is your video card and what brand / model is it? It sounds like your video card is going out to me.

Thanks for the reply, The system is 2 months old and has a studio works monitor with Hercules 3D Prophet 11 video card, Many thanks.

Whenever I have seen this type thing happen....it was almost always the vid card; however, it can just as easily be the vid card drivers, the amt of vid acceleration, the # of colors (256,16 bit, 24 bit, 32 bit). If you know how to check all of these items, with reinstalling the vid drivers being the LAST thing you try...you can eliminate a lot of possibilities and narrow down to monitor or a failed vid card.
