Re doing my old Dell 233MHz puter. Wiped out the hard drives- was planning on booting from A Win98 Setup Floppy and installing from the CDRom.BIOS wouldn't see my Creative CDRW so I put the original NEC Cdrom in. BIOS now sees the CDrom.Have formatted C drive. Tried booting from cdrom -no luck.Tried booting from floppy- option 2 enabled cdrom support> it loads the drivers by Oak Technology for the cdrom > then it loads the ASPI Manager for DOS and then I just get a blinking cursor- can't go any farther. Tried a Windows 95 boot disk> was able to get to cdrom but got an unable to read error message. The cdrom is the master on the secondary channel. I've done this in the past- so what am I missing?
