I'm getting pop-up boxes telling me that my Port 25 is apparently not enabled. I'm new to Windows 98 and don't know how to enable this port. Can you provide instructions that I can follow to do this please?

If the message occurs when attempting download of your e-mail through Outlook Express then open OE then select "Tools", "Accounts", highlight your ISP provided e-mail account and choose "Properties" from the right-hand side, once this is open select the "Advanced" tab and at the top there is space for the Outgoing mail(SMTP) this setting is usually 25 and the Incoming (POP3) is usually 110. They may be diff so check with your ISP for those particular settings. Norton Antivirus throws a kink in your OE mail also...tell your ISP support that you want to route incoming mail through Norton Antivirus and they will help you set it up (or they should). Let us know how it turns out http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
