I have a problem with windows retrieving the wrong URLs.
Say I start opening http://www.cnn.com ,
and I click on a link to http://foo.bar/article.htm
It will try to open http://www.cnn.com/article.htm (which doesn't exist)
the same thing happens if I type it in.
in other words, it will put together the old domain name with whatever is after the domain name in the new address.
the only way around this is to type in the new address in the Run dialog, which is annoying, slow and akward for links.
I have no idea why this is happening.
Also, it happens in Opera, IExplorer and Netscape, it's a system problem.
I reinstalled Win98SE twice and wound up installing WinME. Same problem.
can anybody help?
Thanks,
