Msimn "exception" on Wintel PC...

A friends Wintel PC uses Prodigy as his ISP and when he tries to "open" any email received thru MS Outlook Express or to "launch" any W3 page the following message appears on screen:

"Msimn caused an exception 6d007eH in module URLMON.dll at 0177:79420d66"

Does any one know what this means and how to get his system to read eamil and access the Web?

That one could be a number of things to get an exact go to google type
Msimn exception 6d007eH and it will bring up a list of possable. does your friend run virus protection.
