I was using an external modem but i had to change the modem to internal pci. The computer does not seem to recognize the modem and i am unable to install it. do i have to do any change in the bios settings in order to use internal modem. Prakashn.

You shouldn't have to change your BIOS settings for a PCI modem. Did you uninstall your old modem first? What operating system are you using?
Your BIOS may have a setting for "plug and play" OS; make sure that is choosen. Do you have any of your resources configured manaully in BIOS?
