I have a 400MHz Pentium II Pc with inbuilt sound and VGA card. yesterday, after powering it, there was no output from the screen, even though the CPU was running. I tried using a different monitor but still no output was obtained. I'm suspecting my CPU specifically the motherboard is faulty but I don't know what to do.
Help Please.

I assume from your message that both of these monitors work when used on another system (In other words, the monitors themselves work.) Ruling out the Monitor itself, I would check 2 things. First, If you have done a RAM upgrade recently. I would make sure that you have installed the RAM properly and into the correct socket--or that the "new" RAM is good. Bad or incorrectly installed RAM will give you the same problems as a bad video card. If that is not the case I would disable the on-board video and get another video card installed and see if that works. If you are getting no video with either working monitor from the time you first turn the computer on, it is either the video card or RAM.
