I have installed 98 linux and w2k on one harddisk and I boot with bootmagic. Everything works honkydorry except that every time I do any kind of change on partitions (including windows 98 defrag) I can't access w2k untill I change the w2k file system back to fat32 using pqmagic from 98. Only after that can I go into w2k and have to convert to ntfs again which will carry me through untill the next time I touch the file systems.

Any suggestions

I'm pretty hazy on this, and I can't find reference to it right now, but...

I seem to recall that Win2k writes a "signature" to the MBR (Master Boot Record) of a hard drive.
