View Full Version : Bizarre repeating e-mail w/Eudora

Here's a weird one. Last July I was briefly on a listserv with the posts going to a hotmail account. I posted a few times, and followed up directly with several individuals to their personal e-mails on a couple topics. Anyway, one of the people to whom I had replied directly now gets my last e-mail appearing in their inbox 2-3 times per week, even though I typically only access the account 1-2 times/month. This has never happened before or since with any recipient of my email from any source (ISP, hotmail, etc.). This was 6 months ago and continues. Needless to say, I am not continually re-sending the offending missive. He uses Eudora (not sure what iteration) with the email on attglobal.net. I am sure this is not originating on my end, not the least of which because I have wiped & reloaded my HDD since July (plus again no one else has had the problem). What's really odd is he has tried to set his Eudora mail filters to delete the message based on my address, content etc., and apparently the message still appears in his inbox. This suggests to me the trouble originates on his pc, rather than on mine, or on Hotmail, or on the Internet itself. I've suggested he try reloading Eudora, but have not heard back yet. Any ideas?

I just noticed while checking for replies to this post that I had inadvertantly clicked & posted in "operating system troubleshooting" forum rather than the "software trouble shooting" forum which appears just below it. Attemped to delete the post to move it to the proper group, but the edit window had expired (didn't even know there was one...) My appologies
