could windows 2000 or xp support 1.5 gigs of ram with out errors? thanks

hi walter, w2k pro will support up to 4GB of ram in a single system. dont know what ram XP will support.
on the error side, i dont. try it and see. does your mobo support it?

Any of the NT kernel based Windows should support over 1GB of RAM, and in the "server" flavors they definitely do, not sure if XP Home does or not but the Pro version will...and most versions of Linux (full distros) will.
