Illegal Bill Gates speed limit??? Are you serious???
If so, I'd check into a good virus scanner and QUICK.
Go to the McAffee or Norton website and look through their virus info and see if you find anything that resembles this error message. That's an error message that's in no way normal...

Sounds like EMM.386 is not there, or is corrupted. I'll have to do some digging and try to find out some more info, right now it's about time to put the old bones to bed...

I have the exact same problem athcom51 if you find the sulotion let me know and ill do the same at boot up i get memory manager not found SBlive requires and Emm386 or similiar and also SB live driver not loading then it goes on and boots with no major problems but i do get illegal ops every once in a while
The first error is being caused by the sb DOS parameters program being loaded.
It sets the sb to allow both Dos and windows to access the card.
Before Windows is loaded.
It requires the complete DOS himem.sys and emm386 to be loaded to work correctly
I had the same error message till I disabled the Dos features in sb
I also removed the drivers and programs that came on the original cd
Replacing them with the new set from the SB web site.
