Hello Folks,
After learking about for the last 2 weeks I finally decided to register & get my feet wet--so, please to meet you.

My question is this:
Seems every time right after I boot up, I get a dialogue box that says
KRNL.386.exe

Can anyone tell me the meaning of this message & how to correct it?
Thanks
NN

Hello Novice_Nomad,

Welcome to http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif Forums!

Are you running Anti Virus software? This could possibly be a virus! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif

Thanks Whyzman for the welcome.

Funny you should mention that, I was just surfing around coincidentaly for antivirus software--preferably free.

Any links you could come up with would be greatly appreciated.

PS- Kernel 32.Dll also is popping http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif

Definate Virus Big Fellow.

AVG is one of the best. And it's Free.

www.grisoft.com (http://www.grisoft.com)

It's a tad bit slow to download as the site doesn't mirror
anything.

User friendly and updates seem to be weekly.

You need to run an Anti-Virus program soonest.

Housecall is another program that will check your system and find a virus while you wait. And help you rid of it.
