Must I register windows pro with microsoft? is there a way around it?

Well if you want it to run more than 30 days yes you will have to play by there rules.From what I gather it will auto matically shut down? Or thats what I heard from an MCSE Try it and find out.

I think that if you are using XP Pro you do not have to register or ??whats the word? my mind has gone blank! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif The thing you have to do with Home edition. Does not apply to Pro

You do not have to register it.
But you will have to Activate it .
You can active it online without giving MS any personal info.
And Register it at a later date If you want to

Further more to this topic. Can I use office XP After activating it form microsoft to another pc with this activating number? I have Office XP which marked with UNLICENCE version Can I use it at my work place and my home too? if anser is NO then any solution for it?

"Can I use it at my work place and my home too?" Not legally, according to Bill Gates. (I assume India is included in the copyright treaties involved.)
