When I was installing Windows XP I was given the option to install Windows
XP on top of Windows 98.

I know wish to uninstall Windows 98 and folders; how can I do this?
I remember there was an option dialog box that allowed for this?

I am quit desperate to delete files from my c drive
as this is the drive Windows XP is running. At present it is over 92% of capacity and I have heard recommendation for drive not to be over 75% of capacity.

Urgent help request

You can uninstall unneeded programs and windows components, delete the sample pictures and music that windows so generously uses up your disk space with, run disk cleanup, delete your temporary files in Internet Explorer (or whatever browser you use), even defragging your drive can reclaim space...

Part of the problem might be if you did a clean install without formatting your drive. When you do this, windows leaves EVERYTHING on the drive from the old operating system (including program file folders if I remember correctly) this can be a huge waste of space...check to see if there are a bunch of program folders for programs you haven't installed under XP...

WARNING!!! IF YOU UPGRADED AND DID NOT DO A CLEAN INSTALL, DON'T GO AROUND DELETING PROGRAM FILE FOLDERS AND DON'T BLAME ME IF YOU DO...
