Something that might be worth checking is your refresh rate setting. There are two places that you can look to find out what your refresh rate is. If your monitor has an onscreen diplay of your setting you can find it there. Another place is in your display adapter settings. You can find it by right clicking on the desktop, click on properties, goto tab and click on advanced. In the advance properties window there should be a diplay adapter tab that contains the refresh rate settings for your display adapter. The default is usually "adapter default which is a usually low refresh rate that causes flickering. You can change the setting to optimum and that your set your refesh rate to the rate best for your monitor (I'm not entirly sure on this one) However yuo can choose from a cariety of different rates, BUT be SURE that your monitor supports these settings or you will eventually damage it.
This may help.
