I just replaced an Intel Ruby Motherboard w/166MHz CPU with a FIC AZ11E Motherboard w/800MHz Thunderbird CPU.
Things are relatively good, but...
1. The system is asking for PCI to ISA bridge drivers, yet the new MB does not have an ISA connector.
2. The old board had an EZ-Bios. WHen this new MB boots there is references to the old EZ-Bios.
Are these things left overs from the old board?
How do I get rid of them? Edit config.sys or autoexec.bat or Master Boot Record??
Do I need to re-format/re-load?(don'y really want to)
Thanks!!!!!!!!!

I usually have to remove "Motherboard Resources" & Hard Drive Controllers from Device Manager before all of the new drivers will properly load related to the new motherboard.......are you using Win 98...I hope!

Yes, I am running Win98 SE.
What would be the exact procedure?
Remove all Motherboard Resources and Hard Disk Controllers from Device Manager.
Re-boot and tell it to search the new MB CD?
Thanks!!!

EZ-BIOS should have an uninstall option. Check the drive manufacturer's web page for the version you are using, which will likely have instuctions like this WDC link (http://www.wdc.com/products/manuals/ezdrive3.html).

Seagate's page just says to use fdisk /mbr, but I thought EZ-BIOS could protect itself against that.

Uninstall did not work for me; reason unknown. I had to use a debug script to clear the partition sector (http://www.firmware.com/support/bios/hdclear.htm), then partition and format.
