I have Windows 95 on my PC, but would like to format and install Windows 98. Will I pick up any problems? Are there certain things I need to look out for?

Thx

Make sure to read up on the process...hardware drivers should be about the same for both, you might want to download new 98 versions which might work better, but since 98 is just a patched up version of 95 you should be fine...

98 requires a little more hardware for equal performance (what upgrade doesn't ? http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif )

When all else fails, read the instructions.

You will need a minimum 32MB mem (MS say 24 but better with 32)

Also what processor have you got?

98 will not work with processor below 486 DX with built in
Maths. (I think I have got that's the correct terminoligy - Those with the know-how will correct this last bit)

It requires a minimum processor speed of 66MHz. That's what it told me when I tried to install on a 50MHz!! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif
