Hi to all experts here, I don't know if this problem can be solve here. Im using a company email, Microsoft Outlook, It is running under Citrix. I have send one email to one of my relatives using my company email address to her on hotmail. She replied and I replied back. After that Im always getting her last reply continously daily with the same email and content for almost hundred times per day. I don't know how to cancel this. I also don't know why its happening

Hi Roel,

Is your relative running any Anti Virus software? Sounds to me like a virus that "spams" you continually once the infected computer has your email.

Just a hunch! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

Yes she is running anti virus. Im sure coz Im the one who installed it, In fact I got that thru this message board. Its an AVG anti virus by Grisoft. Im just wondering how it gonna happened since its same email contents Im getting. And besides its also a Free email (hotmail). And the senders date is relatively old. Is it possible that we are having a problem in our email server or something. Im affraid coz its a company mail and a lot people can see this since we are using same email accounts.

One thing I notice this email are coming mostly with intervals of 26 minutes

Roel,

If the send date is old...I'm wondering if it's someway "hung up" in your server at work. This sounds like one for Ghost or one of the system folks to handle.

AVG can be disabled...are you certain that all it's functions are turned on?

I really don't know from where it is coming?? I think you're right somewhere in our email server it got hung up and keep on sending. I don't know much about email handing. I hope somebody here in the board can answer my queries

Thanks

If it is coming in even when her machine is off then it most definitely a problem with the server. Try to make sure that "remove from server" option is checked....

I don't use Outlook so I'm not entirely sure, but it should be some where in the Preferences...

In Outlook browse thru Tools and look for the option
Leave copy of Sent Mail on Server. Uncheck this and your
server will quit cycling this back to you.

Luck.

In Outlook Express it's Tools\Accounts and highlight the account, then click Properties then the Advanced tab. Toward the bottom is a line that says "Leave a copy of messages on server". Uncheck that box, that should do it. Outlook should be the same place or close.
