Task Manager

Suddenly, for no apparent reason, I've lost my Task Manager.

If I R.Click the Taskbar, a little green Icon appears momentarily on the System Tay and if I do Cntrl-Alt-Del, nothing happens at all

Does anyone know what might have happened and how I can get it back?

Try these suggestions:

Go here http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/163/ and check that you haven't disabled the task manager.

Check that the taskmanager program is still located in your system32 folder. (look for "taskmgr.exe")


Try "Ctrl+Shift+Esc" to launch the taskmanager.

In fact it was a Virus -KlezH Worm!

Successfully removed with Symantec's Removal Tool

Task Manager back to normal
