Question -
Where is systemroot defined in Windows 2000, and how can I change it?

If you mean what is the system root folder it's C:\WINNT. To change it,you could rename it. Right click on it in Explorer and click RENAME.

Open regedit its under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion
Its down the very bottom of the right hand window
