Hi when I installed Pcanywhere 10.5 on my Windows XP Home Edition system, I noticed that it mentioned that it would disable the ability for the computer to have different users log in. After going through the install I created an administer account in the control pannel and edited the permissions on the user that I was logged in as. Anyway after trying to log in under the new administer account I found that I was not able to do so. It said something about my password not being correct. I think though it had something to do with the Pc anywhere installed. After unsuccessfully being able to log in as the administer I tried to uninstall the PC anywhere softeware but was denied access since my account had only limited capabilites. Unfortunatley I had to use the rescue disk to get back into the system with my administer level permissions. Is there a way that anyone knows of to have the multi user log in option still active with the PC anywhere software installed on Windows XP? Thanks in advance

I haven’t upgraded to 10.5 yet. under XP
But I do recall an update that addressed the login error or lack of.

Also did you install the Admin utilities ?

From what I have read on 10.5 you have a number of options in the Admin field .
User setup . install / remove and others. I’m not sure how it reacts in XP home differently from XP pro

I need to grab the new version myself this week. I hope.
I’m sorry I can’t be of more help
