I reformatted my hard drive, loaded all software all went well until I loaded the driver for the sis620 graphics card. The Pc will run well for a minute or two and while trying to run a program or make any changes to display settings in Windows the PC will freeze and the only way to restart is to press the restart button. I have one of those motherboards with on-board AGP graphics.Which is the easiest way out. Can I disable the on-board VGA and install a PCI or AGP card. Or do I need the bios updates for my motherboard. I am at present running the PC without any VGA drivers.
Its working okay in 16 color.

I do not have qa quickfix solution as of yet, but right off hand, it sound like you have some type of IRQ conflict. You should be able to go thru the BIOS and disable the onboard graphics card and install an new one. Like I said, this is what it sounds like as of right now. Whenever you have an IRQ conflict, your system will usually hang intermittently. If you can provide more information, it would be appreciated.

I got a quick fix for ya. If you haven't tried this yet.
Boot up into safe mode. When you get there uninstall your graphics card. When you boot into windows it should pick it up and give you another shot.
