I recently installed MS Office 2000 on a machine, upgraded from Office 97. I kept the 97 programs as well and now my clipart won't work in 97. If I go to "Insert" it comes up with an error. I tried changing the file locations to point to the new 2000 clipart, popular etc and none of this works. Any ideas or has anyone else had this problem?

Hi, is it possible for you to 1st save all of your 97' work in 2000 format; and then uninstall both 97' and 2000 and then reinstall 2000 fresh??
seems like something along those lines should work http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

Thanks for the suggestion. I work in a PC traning centre and we're in the middle of upgrading our programs, so I still have 5 students finishing up on their diplomas in 97. I need both versions on at least 5 machines. Any other ideas? I searched on Microsoft and didn't see anyone else having the same problem.

Check to make sure, I believe that Office 2000 is similair to Word 2000, in the respect that you can save all of your work in previously released versions. In other words you should check to see if you can create and save files IN 2000.. into the 97' format( I Know you can do it in Word..... bet you wont 'upgrade' in the middle of an assignment again.. sorry if this doesnt help, I usually go for the easiest way to resolve a problem 1st. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

Also it would help alot if you could include the Exact error message you get !!
