Got any firewalls or previous versions of antivirus software installed? If you have an earlier edition of NAV you will have to uninstall it first. I can't the error message to hit on a google search. Plus, my unfamiliarity with Win 2K doesn't help here. Interactive mode almost sounds like it is trying to repair something prior to installing.
Does anyone know if "interactive mode" is related to Win 2K? I searched www.symantec.com (http://www.symantec.com) as well, but no real help yet.

Interactive mode is the mode a program is in when it's displayed on your screen. So you can "interact" with it. As opposed to it being a background process that can only be accessed thur the Control Panel Icons.

Are you installing clean or just upgrading Norton AV?
