View Full Version : Script error
I am using windows ME on a 166 pentium. The problem is when trying to print from my web server I get the following error.
Error in script on this page
Line 539
Char 2
Error Invalid Argument
URL: res://C:\windows\system\shdoclc.dll/preview.dlg
I have down loaded the lastest drivers for the printers. When printing outside the web the system works fine. Can anyone help me with this problem.
A couple of things to try,
1. Try and see if your printer is actually selected as the default printer in IE. Go to the file menu and hit print there. It should bring up the printer setup dialog, the first line should be a drop down menu of the printers on your system (some of them may not be real printers but programs that provide print functions like fax software). Make sure your physical printer is the one selected.
2. Run the IE repair tool.
Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs scroll down and find MS IE5.5 and internet tools, click the add/remove button, select option 2 repaor IE. This will fix any missing or corrupted IE files.
3. Download and install SP1 for IE 5.5
Do them in that order, post back if you need more help or just let us know how it went.

"Klingon function calls do not have 'parameters'. They have 'arguments'....and they ALWAYS WIN THEM!"
