I've a AMD Duron 800 PC with 64MB SD-Ram, 20GB h/d, Creative Soundblaster Value Live Sound Card, Riva TnT2 16MB Graghic Card, Gigabyte M/B running on Windows ME. I try to install Counter Strike & some other games (more than 2). After playing for a while, it will show me "A fatal exception error has occurred...."(blue screen). I've to switch off the power & on again. After that the "blue screen" error came up regularly even i use other application like Office 2000. I uninstall the game & everything is back to normal. Why games are not allowed to be played in my computer? Pls help

Possibly registry problems

I bought the same game and had problems running it. I exchanged it where I bought it and haven't had problems yet. I think that nowadays the companies that press the discs try to get as much protection against copying as possible that a certain amount of failure is acceptable. Much to the frustration of consumers however.

Have you checked the Blizzard website?

What is the exact error message you get?

Also do you have the latest video card drivers and are they specifically for WinME?

Same with the sound card.
