a so called freind sends me an email , think its called pcsnoop or something i try to open it and it says do you want to install and run? so i click yes , nothing happens after that then later on everything seems to be running slower and an internet game cuts off and does something weird also outlook express is opening very slow, i check the programs running and theres one called pcsnoop, is this a normal windows programm or am i paranoid? or is it a virus please help.

Looks like it's supposed to be a personal security program. Darim (http://www.darvision.com/support/pcsnoop.html) makes it. Unless this is something that didn't show up on Google (http://www.google.com) it's a program that can use a camera to record the area around your computer when you're gone, the Pro version can also email you pictures of any intruders, sound alarms etc.

In the future you should never open or run any email attachments without knowing exactly what they are. I'd run a good virus scanner just to play it safe.

Try uninstalling the program, it should be in Control Panel; Add/Remove Programs, or look through your start menu and see if it has its own uninstall button. If all else fails you might have to find it in Windows Explorer and delete it.
