Weird thing has appeared on text in web pages.

When i go on web pages some of the text has a green line with a orange stip underneath it. When you put the mouse over the text it becomes highlighted in yellow and the pointer turns to a hand.

This appears randomly and it has only started today. I haven't installed anything lately so i don't know what it is.

Can anybody help me get rid of this?

Methinks that would be smart tags. You can disable them via "Internet" options in Control Panel.
