windows nt error message

after trying to install a screen saver on the bosses computer i get the following error message instead of the screen saver starting

NTVDM.EXE-DLL INITIALIZATION FAILED
C\WINNT\SYSTEM32\KERNEL32.DLL FAILED
THE PROGRAMME IS TERMINATING ABNORMALLY

please help,in a hurry???

NTVDM -- NT Virtual DOS Machine -- for 16-bit applications -- could be an old app that NT gags on?

"Windows NT will not allow NTVDM to execute instructions that try to
directly manipulate hardware or memory locations. As a result, some DOS
and Windows 3.x applications (such as games) may not run under Windows NT."

Tell us more about this screen saver...

I agree with sea69 -- get rid of it, as it probably will not work with NT.
