Windows 95 system. When trying to download .exe files from zdnet (formerly softseek), I don't get the download screen, I get a screen that shows the Quicktime logo and then nothing happens. I use Internet Explorer 5.5. Any ideas?

if you're downloading the quicktime application, or updating it- you go to appleware servers............. why it is stopping could be lotts of things.
we need a bit more info.

Quiktime is almost as bad as realplayer for trying to take over your file associations; kinda reminds of someone, doesn't it?! (no names here Mr. Gates)-when you downloaded quiktime-did you tell it which file types to associate itself with? Does it do this for all .exe files you try to download, or just this site?
As sea stated, a little more info would be helpful. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif
