Left system running logged on as a non administrative user for weekend. Returned today, Monday, to find warning message on desktop stating "Could not map physical memory." I selected ok to clear message second message appeared stating "no physical memory available." I logged off of system and logged back on as a administrator. Since then I have not been able to clear the messages, shut down the system, or log on as an another user. Both the task manager or event viewer do not record anything running or anything wrong with the system.
Please advise.

Problem solved. Disconnected power and rebooted system. Auto run software was at the root of the problem.

Sounds like you have a memory leak. Memory leaks can only be fixed by either stopping the process(program) that caused it or doing a hard reboot (hit that power switch). The only long term solution is to patch the offending program.
