Hi Again All:
Well, I have another question for you. For the last couple of days my computer has been shutting itself off after about 7 hours or so. I haven't been home at the time but when I arrive my computer is off. When I reboot it does the scandisk routine (so it's not shutting itself down properly). Anyway, I just built this a couple of weeks ago and don't understand what might be causing it. Here is my configuration:
Case with 300 Watt Power supply
msi k7t pro 2a motherboard
900 Mhz Athlon Processor
256 Megs RAM
Etc.
Any ideas?
Probably heat, check and make sure all your fans are running and that the cables are routed in such a way as not restrict airflow. If the machine doesn't really need to be on all the time (like being used as a server) shut it down. Also if there is nothing blocking the airflow you may want to reverse the direction on the CPU fan, sometimes the direction that the fan is moving the air makes a difference.

Thanks for the reply. I only have the fan in the power supply and atop the cpu at this point. I guess I didn't think about needing any additional ones. Do you think that this would cause the problem?
AMD CPUs are heat producers, the faster the hotter they are so cooling is absolutely essential for one, just make sure that what you've got is doing its job first. If you do install another fan place it so it draws air into the case (preferably low and in front) and let the other one exhaust the air (high and in back). A 300W AMD-approved power supply is a good idea also.
