I am having a problem installing the software “GoBack” on Windows 2000 Pro. The message comes back with “Setup is unable to create enough contiguous space on your hard drive for a GoBack history buffer of ### MB.” So I went to their web site and they suggest, “There are third party defrag programs that can be run offline. We recommend that an offline defrag be run and then attempt to install GoBack again.” I have Norton SystemWorks 2001 and clicked on Optimize Performance and then on Speed Disk. I did this and it defraged without any problems. Went to install Goback and got same error. I have plenty of hard drive space but how do I gain more contiguous space enough for 2GB out of a 20GB hard drive? Any help would be appreciated.

typical software " un " support-they have a problem with their software and they blame everything else. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif
I would check to make sure you have a clean temp folder-sometimes remnants of programs actions hang around instead of getting removed as they shold-this can cause install/run errors. Clean out your system ( no tmp files ) reboot, and try it again-you may just have to reinstall the program.
I would check their FAQ and forums to see if someone else has experianced these same problems.
