I wouldn't "upgrade" OE 5 if it is working well in win98- there is no reason to.
had you tried system file checker??
start>> programs>> accessories>> system information>> system file checker.
also, OE and IE work "hand in hand, had you tried the IE repair tool??
start>> settings>> control panel>> add/remove programs>> internet explorer>> repair.
if niether of these do the trick come on back and we will try something else!

Thanks for you reply.
Yes I have done all that but no success.
First of all i will explain what actually happened. I was using IE 5 and upgraded to IE 6. It worked fine for a few hours then I found all pages could not be displayed. Althiugh i could still use ICQ and other internet software. I rang NTL who said IE 6 is not compatible with 98 and their broadband So on their advice I uninstalled IE 6.It resolved the problem with browsing but then when I found the outlook express problem. At first I could not recieve emails so i reinstalled. I can now recieve but cannot open due to the error (outlook express is not configured prpoerly, please reinstall. I have tried everything possible to no avail.
