Game ?, Madden 2001 locks up on W98?

I have installed Madden 2001 on my pc, it plays the opening video, and when I get to the opening screen and as soon as I try to click on anything to play the game it locks up. I ensured that I met the min. sys. requirements. My system: W98, 328Mb ram, sound--SBPro16, 500mhz amdk6-2 proc., AGI Rage128 Magnum Video. I have found no conflicts in device mgr. ARRRGGHH!! Don't understand. Thanks in advance!!

Look on the cd, look for readme texts and troubleshooting texts. Read up on that and see if there is any issues withe the video card your running. Does other games work, when you play them?

Check the resolution settings that the game requires..u may have to go into the games options and select your resolution setting or change yours to the required one.. and make sure it doesnt have to be set on 256 color and so on also.
