Coverting to MPEG

Does anyone know of a program that converts avi to mpeg?

Hi stepchild,

Here's one that I have used in the past for my attempts at 3D animation VideoMach (http://www.gromada.com/VideoMach.html). It's free for non-commercial use. It may not support all the latests Codecs but it's worth a go.
Hang in there, you may get a few suggestions for other programs.
