No idea Sea, however the msconfig utility in XP does provide a litle more detail than previous versions, even giving you the exact registry location.

See if you can find this .exe, right click it and check it's properties-it's got to be some third party program you installed because i sure have nothing like that on my system.

Of course you can disable it, and see what happens.

I din't even get 1 hit on google for that term. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif

It's the WIndows memory dump program.
You can disable it from Control Panel | System | Advanced |startup and Recovery.

If you have turned the error reporting tool off you shouldn't need it...the one tweak guide I read had several good reasons for turning off the error reporting tool: one, uses your bandwidth unecessarily; two, sends data to MS (all sorts of private data); three, (problably the biggest reason..hehe)it may not help anything at all, because it seems that the priority for fixes has problems reported by the error reporting toll as lowest on the totem pole....

No you can stop it from running. ( it just a memory dump program that runs if you have startup problems that prevent XP from booting up ) You should be able to disable it from the system | Advanced page. Also in XP you might also have to stop the "error reporting" service.

Can't verify that last one since I no longer have an XP box.
